Sustainability Policy

Sustainable Procurement Policy

Killarney Brewing & Distilling Holdings PLC and all subsidiary companies are committed to being a socially responsible organisation, as such we strive to operate sustainably.

It is the policy of Killarney Brewing & Distilling to identify and manage the Social and Economic impacts along with the Environmental impacts of its operation where possible.

Killarney Brewing & Distilling Co’s sustainable procurement objectives are to :

  • Comply with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Maximise local sourcing, and purchasing from Irish suppliers when possible, in order to reduce the environmental impact of deliveries.
  • Prioritise suppliers who demonstrate environmental awareness by having Environmental policies, ISO14001, ISO-50001 etc.
  • When purchasing from mainland European suppliers, use those who transport goods using, rail, sea and road over air delivery.
  • Buy raw materials in bulk to enable shipment in tankers or IBC to minimise packaging waste.

By providing a clear and well-articulated policy, by requesting our suppliers share with us if they have Environmental Policies or other Environmental certifications, we can assure our customers that the products and services they receive from us are being made sustainably to the best of our ability.

Killarney Brewing & Distilling Co strongly supports recycling, disposing of waste packaging through a registered waste haulier and testing and blending where possible any waste raw materials.

This Policy will be communicated throughout the company and be available for public review upon request. It will be reviewed regularly to determine continued relevance, monitor compliance and drive continual improvement.
